The Wall of Honor
Many Americans have children, fathers, mothers, grandparents, other family members and friends who have served in the armed forces. For these individuals, they understand the importance of protecting this country because of the sacrifices these American servicemen and women have made for us as citizens of this great nation.
In our home, we have a wall of honor. This wall honors my father, LeRoy C. Hoagland, my father-in-law, Richard Smith, my husband, Kenneth R. Smith and my step-son Korbet Smith. On this wall are their pictures, their medals and for two of them, the flags presented to the family upon their deaths. Three of these men served in two wars, WWII and Vietnam. One of them, my father, received the Purple Heart from the largest naval battle in history, the Battle of Leyte Gulf. He was left to die on the beach because of the severity of his wounds. However, 24 hours later, a medic realized he was still alive and transported him to a medical ship bound for Australia. Dad was airlifted to San Diego, CA where he spent 2 years and faced over 10 major operations.
As we celebrate this day of prayer and remembrance, we must recognize that without the sacrifices of past and current service personnel, we would not have the opportunity to be the greatest country in the world. Even though today is a national day of recognition for those honorable women and men, we all should take a few moments every day to offer prays for these courageous individuals. For it is the walls of honor within those American families that allow us to "still hold these truths to be self-evident."

Entrepreneur Lashes Out at Linear Thinking Government Regulators
I am personally calling for a total disbanding of the regulatory agencies as we know it immediately. This needs to be done from the inside out.
Government is a Franchise System; just not a very good one
Few understand the Franchising Format and even fewer have correlated that to our modern government structure. The United States Government is set up much like a franchising system.
The Divided Language
I was dismayed to learn the other day, that my all-time favourite George Bernard Shaw quote may not in fact have been uttered by him.Nevertheless, even the misquotation that Britain and the United States are two countries divided by a common language, will ring true with any British Expat who has tried to make their new home in America.
Quick Thought on The Flow of Fuel and Costs
Without the flow of fuel our very mobile society comes to a complete stand still. When the supplies get low and the free-markets dictate higher prices; every one of us feels the pain in some way.
The Glorious Acts of Our Legislature
I always have to remember to take a deep breath when examining the laws being proposed by our grand Legislature. I detest most of the new legislation on the table, but have to forgive our representatives in the House and Senate for it.

I've been thinking again. I know some of my readers regard that as a dangerous thing.

California Attorneys and Politicians
California Attorneys and politicians are to blame for the energy crisis and blackouts and the ones, which will come this summer too. A simple study of finite capacity scheduling would have yielded the necessary tools for the CA state government to figure out what was actually feasible.
How to Tell When Government Regulators are Shopping You
In this day and age of tattletale, whistleblower heroes and homosexual bureaucrats with an axe to grind, we often find government regulators calling up business people to try to entrap them. As a matter of fact one worthless agency called the FTC - Federal Trade Commission will often call up Biz Op companies and attempt to get them to say something they shouldn't.
Population and Transportation in the Modern Era of International Terrorism
It is important as populations expand to work on the Flow of Transportation components, which effect our civilization. We must improve the flows without increasing cods in the wheel with over burdensome rules for companies or operators.
Lack of Peace, Reaching Critical Mass
You have in front of you two buttons, one is green the other is black. The green button represents peace and love, the black button represents war and hate and you were put in charge of choosing what the rest of humanity will experience on earth.
Time for a New Canadian Party
It is time for a change. A change in philosophy, a change in the 3 party system.
Trade Wars, China and Over Regulation At Home
We are seeing some trade wars brewing as American trade deficits mount and the money flows moving to China. We see OPEC manipulating our supply a tad and China's thirst for oil increasing, thus furthering the supply issues.
Water at the Roots of Twenty First Centurys Conflicts
According to a postulate made by Ignacio Ramonet ecological resources are deemed to constitute the main cause of this new century. Water as a source of scourge concerns: oceans and seas on the one hand (that's over 71 of the globe surface) and access to potable water (underground reserve and rivers) on the other hand.
Sodomy is against the law, yet goes on every day across our nation. The vice of buggery is so pervasive in certain regions of our country that even heterosexuals in our population are a risk of contracting AIDS.
Rants by Lance: BRAC Committee Talks Irrelevant Completely
It is amazing we have so many men, who belong to the greatest military in the history of mankind, pussy footing around. The politics of BRAC are not in line with the reality of protecting our nation.
International Terrorists Have US Partners; The Federal Trade Commission
The Federal Trade Commission in their latest move to increase (MUD) Much Unnecessary Disclosure on the Franchisors of this Nation is helping the International Terrorists with in depth information. By requiring extra disclosure the FTC is making what would normally be private business information into public knowledge and part of the franchising rules required disclosure.
Dealing with Massive Prisoners of War
In the last Gulf War we saw thousands of enemy soldiers giving up. Killing them is against Geneva Convention and they know it.
John Kerry as a Prosecutor?
Prosecutors with political ambitions are known to modify the truth or withhold evidence in order to get a conviction. It is so common in fact that the greater the political ambitions the greater the unethical ness of their tenure as a prosecutor.
Bush Victory: A Defeat for the Have-Nots?
The shouting is over and directions for the next four years selected. Judging by past behavior (the best predictor, psychologically, of future behavior), we can look forward to:1.
